In general, reading the lot restrictions that are placed at entrances and around the parking lots is a safe bet. Be sure not to park in a lot that is restricted to permit holders 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Parking near Ritchie Coliseum
- Lot J2 - Behind Ritchie Coliseum - paid parking in some sections, open after 4 pm and on weekends
- Lot C1 - Visitor Center Parking, located across the street from Ritchie Coliseum - free after 4pm and on weekends
- Union lane garage, next to Union - paid parking by the hour
- Regents garage, south of Shipley Field - paid parking in some sections, open after 4 and weekends in others
- Lot 1 or Z - open
- Courtyards guests - please park in visitor parking along the back of the complex
- South Campus Commons guests - Lot U is open
- North Campus Residence hall guests (Denton, Elkton, Easton, Ellicott, Hagerstown, La Plata, Cumberland, Centreville, Bel Air, Chestertown, Cambridge) - parking is available at the Xfinity Center parking garage, lots 9, 11, and UU (accessible off of University Blvd); there are a few metered spots (which would be free after 10pm) around the dorms & by the Recreation Center.
- South Campus Suites guests - use Lot U by Commons or Lot C by the Armory
